Rogue River

The world famous Rogue River is located a short 45 minute drive to the north from Salmon Harbor RV Resort. The spectacular views of the rugged Oregon coastline en route are a site to behold. Be sure to include time in your trip to Gold Beach and the Rogue River to enjoy the scenic views along the way.

The Rogue River is unique in that it features both a spring and fall run of Chinook (King) Salmon. In addition, there is the famous summer run of steelhead known as "half pounders" or summer run fish that begin in early August and extend into late fall and provide excellent sport on fly tackle or light spinning gear.

The Salmon fishing in tidewater at Gold Beach provides excellent opportunities for catching Salmon, many in the 30 to 40 pound range as the fish head up river. River guide fishing is available for both spring and fall Salmon and Steelhead fishing.

The mail boat rides up the Rogue River to Agnes provide spectacular views of the river and of wildlife in the Rogue River Canyon.  To return to the Salmon Harbor web site  after visiting this link, use the back button on your browser.
